Women Empowerment & Gender Equality
The Women Empowerment & Gender Equality initiatives by Al-Asar Development Organization focus on improving the lives of women and promoting equal opportunities in society. The organization has established a Day Care Center with the support of the District Women Department to assist working women by providing safe childcare facilities. It also runs awareness and advocacy programs on women’s rights in collaboration with Aurat Foundation and HomeNet, empowering women through training and education. Through the Skills for Persons with Special Needs program supported by PSDF, Al-Asar provides livelihood training to differently-abled individuals, helping them become self-reliant. Additionally, Al-Asar organizes campaigns against gender-based violence in partnership with ROZAN, WPF, and Movies That Matter, including film festivals, rallies, and youth workshops to promote awareness, tolerance, and equality.

Community Model School (DG Khan) – Free formal education for vulnerable children.
Non-Formal Basic Schools (Govt. Literacy Department) – 89 schools opened for out-of-school children (1998–2010).
School Management Committee Trainings (CIDA) – Training manuals developed for school governance and participation
Model Village Schools (Japan Embassy, Punjab Govt.) – Established schools in Basti Laywala and Jakar Imam Shah after 2010 floods.
